Port Fairy is a small coastal town of 2500 people in South West Victoria, Australia. It is renowned for its annual folk and classical music festivals, and has an 85 year history of film screenings.
The Port Fairy Film Society (PFFS) is a community group of film-lovers run on a not-for-profit basis by volunteers. It has a primary program of 12 monthly film screenings of mainly Australian, independent, art house or foreign films, including three film festivals, classic matinee seasons, and summer movies. During the year the PFFS also auspices another 14 theatrical community fundraiser screenings for local community groups.
